
This little horse will fit in the palm of your hand! Sitting at about 5.5 inches tall and 4 inches wide, this mini crochet amigurumi will be a hit with any horse lover!
The mascot at my kids school is a Trailblazer so I made a few of these to give to the teachers on the first day. Their school colors are gray and teal so that is why you are seeing those colors on the horse in some of the pictures. Lots of color combos you could chose from! You could even make this into a unicorn!

Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in colors Cafe Latte and Buff Beige. A bit of coffee for the bridle.

– Size H Crochet Hook
– Two 9mm black safety eyes
– Polyfil Fiber Stuffing
– Tapestry Needle

Snout:
with café latte brown yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 3: 2 SC in first, SC in next 2, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 4-6: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Fasten off leaving long tail.
Body + Head:
With café latte brown yarn
Magic ring, make 6 SC in ring, continue to SC in rounds
Round 2: 2 SC in each around (12 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around (18 SC)
Round 4: 2 SC in first, SC in next 2, repeat around ( 24 SC)
Round 5-9: SC in each stitch around (24 SC)
Round 10: SC decrease, SC in next 2, repeat around
Round 11: SC decrease, SC in next, repeat around
Round 12: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 13: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 14: 2 SC in first, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (30 SC)
Round 15-19: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (30 SC)
Round 20: SC Decrease, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 21: SC Decrease, SC in next 2, repeat around, join, chain 1 (18 SC)
Start suffing with polyfil
Stitch on snout and secure safety eyes in place on either side of snout.
Round 22: SC Decrease, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 23: SC Decrease in each stitch around until top of head is closed. Be sure to finish stuffing with polyfil before completely closing.

Ears: make 2
Chain 5, SC in 2nd chain from hook, DC in next two, HDC in last chain, fasten off.
Stitch ears onto head a few rows above each eye.

Arms: make 2
starting with beige yarn
Magic ring, chain 1 and make 8 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2-3: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
join in café latte brown yarn
Round 4-8: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 9: SC Decrease, SC in next 2, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 10: SC in each stitch around, join
Fasten off, stuff lightly and attach to front of neck area
Feet: make 2
starting with beige yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 3: SC in each stitch around,
join in cafe latte brown yarn, chain 1
Round 4: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 5: SC Decrease, SC in next, repeat around, join chain 1
Round 6: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round7: SC Decrease in each stitch around, join,
Fasten off, stuff with polyfil and stitch onto either side of bottom of body so the legs are sticking out sideways.

Mane:
with beige yarn
Chain 13, slip stitch in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, do not fasten off, chain 12, slip stitch down chain, chain 10, slip stitch down chain, chain 13, slip stitch down chain. Chain 6, slip stitch down a, chain 5, slip stitch down chain (these two little strands will be the front bangs of the mane). Fasten off.
Stitch mane onto top of head so the bangs lay in front and the rest of the main flows down the back. Use hot glue gun to secure in place if needed.

Tail:
with beige yarn
Chain 13, slip stitch in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, do not fasten off, chain 12, slip stitch down chain, chain 10, slip stitch down chain, chain 13, slip stitch down chain. Fasten off.
Bunch up the strands and stitch onto back bottom of body. I recommend using your hot glue to shape the tail strands into place.


Bridle:
with coffee yarn
Chain 22, join to first chain to make circle (this will go around the nose), chain 24, Fasten off.
place circle around the nose and wrap the chain 24 around the back of the horse head and attach with tapestry needle to the other side of the original chain 22 circle.








Saddle up and start stitching!
