Over the course of three weeks, we stitched up this crochet cat and dog stuffie set in the super-versatile Red Heart Super Saver yarn. This simple project is easy to customize and perfect for gifting. It features both a bright and neutral version to suit your taste. Work your feline-canine bestie duo in the suggested shades or create a combo that’s uniquely yours.

To get your creative juices flowing, I’ve showed you a christmassy version of Bones using green yarn, jingle bells for the collar, and a mini Santa hat!  Check him out HERE. You can also dress them up in little Granny Stitch Sweaters! Check out my versions HERE in my week 2 post. So many ways to personalize for the holiday season or anytime of year!

ALL ABOUT WEEK 3:

Grab your tapestry needle, it’s assembly time! This week we’re bringing all our components together and creating some fun accessories to finish our adorable amigurumi set. Learn to attach the ears, arms, feet and tail to your base and work up a cute collar tag to personalize your project. Don’t forget to follow along with the video tutorial for directions on attaching both the cat and dog ears, as they secure a little differently. Use your crochet rows on the animal’s head/body as a guide to make sure your pieces are perfectly aligned. Positioning the feet and tail outward helps balance the stuffie in a sitting position. Add a personal touch to your duo with an easy collar in the color of your choice and a key tag to give your new pet a name.

Have another creative personalization idea? We love to see it! Make sure to post your project photos on the Yarnspirations Stitch Squad Group. You can also share your work on Instagram by tagging @Yarnspirations and using the hashtags #TunaBonesCAL22 or #YARNSPO.
