Over the course of three weeks, we’ll be stitching up this crochet cat and dog stuffie set in the super-versatile Red Heart Super Saver yarn. This simple project is easy to customize and perfect for gifting. It features both a bright and neutral version to suit your taste. Work your feline-canine bestie duo in the suggested shades or create a combo that’s uniquely yours.

This week I will be teaching you how to create all the cute little components for our furry friends. Learn to work up the ears, arms, feet and tail in the round using single crochet increases and decreases. Complete the same steps for both the cat and dog stuffies, the only difference between the two will be your colors and ear shape. Adding your stuffing gradually to the appendages while you work helps to fill narrow corners and keep the fullness distributed equally without lumps. Don’t attach your components just yet, as we’ll be putting them all together in Week 3!
