Mini Crochet Party Hats just in time for New Years! I made a few small changes to my Mini Holiday Hat Pattern and was able to easily convert it into party hats! Perfect for a birthday gift topper, keychain, gift card holder, New Years Eve headband topper, and any other festive occasion! I haven’t had a chance to add embellishments but I definitely plan on adding polk-a-dot buttons and even stitching on a little “2021” using a tapestry needle and some embroidery floss. Lots of ways to customize these little cute hats!
Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in any colors you want! Shop Red Heart Super Saver Yarn HERE on Yarnspirations.com
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
Mini Holiday Hats Pattern:
Starting with main hat color (Red for Santa)
Magic ring, chain 1 and make 4 SC in ring, pull tight, join to first SC, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1 (6 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next two, repeat around, join, chain 1 (8 SC)
Round 4: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (10 SC)
Round 5: 2 SC in first, sc in next 4, repeat around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
Round 6: 2 SC in first, SC in next 5, repeat around, join, chain 1(14 SC)
Round 7: 2 SC in first, SC in next 6, repeat around, join, chain 1 (16 SC)
Round 8: 2 SC in first, SC in next 7, repeat around, join, chain 1 (18 SC)
Round 9: 2 SC in first, SC in next 8, repeat around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 10: 2 SC in first, SC in next 9, repeat around, join, chain 1 (22 SC)
Round 11: 2 SC in first, SC in next 10, repeat around, (24 SC)
Join in brim color yarn
Round 12: 3 SC in each stitch around, join, fasten off and weave in ends.
Pom-Pom Ball:
With brim color
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, join to first SC, chain 1
Round 2: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (6 SC)
Round 3: SC Decrease over first two stitches, SC in next, SC Decrease over next two stitches, SC in last stitch, join
Fasten off leaving long tail.
Stitch pom pom closed with tapestry needle and stitch onto top of hat.
Finished Size = Approximately 3.5 x 3.5 inches
I will be sure to update this post when I make a few more hats with some fun embellishments. I had to get you the pattern and idea so you can stitch these up! It will take you less than 30 minutes guaranteed!
