Bernat Maker Minis Snow Globe Ornaments

Bernat Maker Mini skeins are perfect for stitching up quick crochet projects like these easy Snow Globe Ornaments! They will take you less than 30 minutes to make and can be customized with cute Christmas buttons in the center. Sewing two together makes they sturdy and double sided!

You might remember my ORIGINAL SNOW GLOBE ORNAMENTS made with worsted weight yarn. I still have them on my craft room tree but they are a bit flimsy. When you make 2 with Bernat Maker Minis yarn and stitch them together, they will hold their shape and hang nicely from your tree!

Crochet Snow Globe Pattern (make 2):
Starting with light blue yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join to first SC, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1 (30 SC)
Round 4: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next 4, repeat around (36 SC)
join in white yarn, chain 1
Round 5: SC in each stitch around (36 SC)
join in red yarn (or brown/yellow/beige or any color you’d like for the base), chain 1
Row 6: SC in first 7, leave remaining stitches unworked, chain 1, turn
Row 7: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next 5, 2 SC in last, chain 1, turn (9 SC)
Row 8-9: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (9 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends on one globe, leave one long tail of red (or base color) and white on the second globe.

Use tapestry needle (or hot glue gun) to attach cute Christmas or seasonal buttons to the center of your snow globes!

Place snow globes back-to-back and stitch edges together with long strand of white along the white of globe and strand of red (or base color) along the bottom base of the snow globe. Be sure to leave a loop at the top of your ornament so you can hang it on your tree or use it as a gift topper!
