
If you loved my baby chick and hatching chick crochet cups, you might like to add these other spring designs to the set! Using the same basic pattern, make a Frog, Lamb, and little Blue Bird.

If you aren’t familiar with these crochet cups, it all started with my >>> BUNNY CUPS <<< which were made for holding a few small candy (or non-candy) treats! So easy to work up and great for Easter gift giving. Kids, teachers, neighbors, and friends will all love these!

Frog Crochet Cup:
Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Spring Green.
Shop these colors on Yarnspirations.com
– A bit of red yarn for the checks and a strand of black yarn for the smile
– 15mm black safety eyes
– Size K Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
Finished Size: Approximately 4 inches wide (3 inches wide at bottom) and 3.5 inches tall
Use a double strand of yarn when crocheting (two strands held together)
Frog Cup Pattern:
with two strands of green yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join to first SC
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 3: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 4: Working in back loops for this round only, SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 5: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (25 SC)
Round 6-11: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (25 SC)
Round 12: Reverse SC in each stitch around, join,
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Eyes (make 2):
with two strands of green yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 8 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, fasten off, leaving long tail.
Attach safety eyes in the middle of each eye.
Stitch eyes onto inside of front of cup so they are peaking over the rim.
Stitch on smile with a strand of black yarn and tapestry needle between rounds 6-8 of cup.
Cheeks (Make 2):
with single strand of red yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, join, fasten off.
Stitch rosy cheeks on either side of smile.

Lamb/Sheep Crochet Cup:
Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Buff Beige.

– Bernat Pipsqueak Yarn in White.

– A strand of black yarn for the nose/mouth
– 9mm black safety eyes
– Size K Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
Finished Size: Approximately 4 inches wide (3 inches wide at bottom) and 3.5 inches tall

Lamb/Sheep Cup Pattern:
with two strands of beige yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join to first SC
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 3: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 4: Working in back loops for this round only, SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 5: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (25 SC)
Rounds 6-8: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (25 SC)
join in single stand of bernat pipsqueak yarn
Round 9-12: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (25 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Stitch on a little “v” for a nose with a smile stitch for a mouth underneath with black yarn and tapestry needle between rounds 5 and 6.
Add safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8 about 4 stitches apart over nose.
Ears (make 2):
with two strands of beige yarn
Chain 5, SC in second chain from hook and in the next 2, make 3 SC in last chain
now work your way up the other side of the chain with SC’s (3 SC), join to first SC, fasten off.
Stitch ears onto either side of cup right underneath the bernat pipsqueak yarn.

Blue Bird Crochet Cup:
Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Turqua.

– A bit of saffron yellow yarn for the beak and a strand of black for the eyes.
– Size K Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
Bird Crochet Cup Pattern:
with two strands of blue yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join to first SC
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 3: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 4: Working in back loops for this round only, SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 5: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (25 SC)
Round 6-11: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (25 SC)
Round 12: Reverse SC in each stitch around, join
Wings (make 2):
Chain 6, SC in third chain from hook, HDC in next, DC in last two, chain 2 and join to last stitch. Fasten off and stitch wings to both sides of the cup.
Beak:
with single strand of yellow yarn
Chain 4, SC in second chain from hook, HDC in next, DC in last, fasten off.
Stitch onto front of cup over rounds 8-9.
Stitch on smiling eyes and eyelashes with strand of black yarn and tapestry needle

What will you put in your crochet cups? I stuffed mine with fun dip candy, lollipops, stickers, fun size stickers, skittles, and more!
If you don’t like the back of the safety eyes poking through you can melt them. I haven’t personally tried this technique but HERE is the tutorial for Melting Safety Eyes.
