My neighbor had a baby girl a few weeks ago and I’ve been wanting to crochet her something. When I spotted this Gerber onesie set from Walmart, it felt like it was the perfect Autumn pink palette for a stroller blanket! I wanted to get you guys the color names and also some details of how I am going to be crocheting this blanket before I finish so you can get started on it too!

THE YARN:
I am using a variety of colors from the Red Heart Super Saver and Red Heart With Love brand. I do have one color from the Bernat Super Value line called Peach and unfortunately I think it has been discontinued, but you can find a similar shade in the Craftsmart brand from Michaels called Peach as well. SEE it HERE. I usually don’t mix and match brands of yarn so much but I just LOVE these shades together! Feels like Fall!
For the border I will be using Red Heart with Love in color Minty.

THE GERBER ONESIE SET
I found this trio pack of Gerber Girl Onesies Bodysuits HERE at Walmart. They are adorable and affordable! And they come in sizes Preemie – 12 months.
You can find a similar sets on Amazon.com as well!
THE CROCHET PATTERN
I am going to be using my Sunset Blanket Pattern using the grit stitch! I like the texture and it lends well to attaching appliqués. The grit stitch is 2 SC, skip a stitch, 2 SC in next. Pretty easy! You could also use the moss stitch or just crochet in basic rows of single crochet stitches. Make your blanket as big or small as you’d like!
Crochet Sunset Blanket Pattern
The border will be THIS simple Single Crochet in the Back Loop Border by friends over at Daisy Farm Crafts! I love the thickness and it’s such an easy technique! Again, I will be using Red Heart with Love in color Minty which will be such a beautiful accent color!
THE EMBELLISHMENTS:
I wanted to match the adorable floral on the Gerber Onesie so I started playing around with some crochet flower designs! I will have the patterns for these in Part 2 of the Autumn Pink Palette Blanket.
