It’s Christmas in July! You know how much I love crocheting for Christmas and I always like to have at least one Christmas in July pattern for you guys to get on your hooks before the holiday hustle and bustle. With the popularity of the crochet cups (first the bunny cup and then the bear cup) I thought this would be the perfect project to dress up with a little Christmas theme! I created my favorite duo: the Snowman Cup and the Gingerbread Cup to kick off this Christmas Cup collection. But stay tuned because I have several more designs that I am adding to this post later this week. I am sure you can guess which Christmas Characters I will be adding
Stuff these with gift cards, Christmas treats, candy canes, and more! It’s such a great gift for teachers, family, friends, and neighbors and it won’t take you long to crochet a bunch of them.
Materials:
– Bernat Super Value in Red and White for the Snowman and Topaz and White for the Gingerbread Man
Shop Bernat Super Value yarn on Yarnspirations.com
You will need to use a double strand of yarn while crocheting so it might help to buy two skeins of each color or separate one skein into two balls before you begin crocheting.
– Size K Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
– Black Safety Eyes or Black Buttons for the eyes, Two Red Buttons for the Gingerbread cheeks, Carrot Nose (purchased at JOANNs), and any other cute embellishments you want to add like a little holly berry button for the snowman!
Snowman Face Buttons –> PURCHASE HERE AT JOANN CRAFT STORE
Finished Size: Approximately 4 inches wide (3 inches wide at bottom) and 3.5 inches tall
Use a double strand of yarn when crocheting (two strands held together). This creates the sturdiness of the cup.
