Crochet Paw Print Pattern

Calling all animal lovers! You are going to love these crochet paw prints! I’ve found a way to get a cute looking paw print with just a few rounds and no extra stitching of pieces once you are done. This makes for an easy appliqué for hats, blankets, and more!

Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Light Brown (Buff) and Dark Brown (Cafe Latte) or any similar worsted weight yarn. You can easily use a bit of scrap yarn for this project! Shop colors HERE on Yarnspirations.com
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle

Finished Size: Approximately 5 inches x 5 inches

Crochet Paw Prints
with dark brown yarn
Magic Ring, chain 2 and make 9 HDC in ring, join to first HDC, chain 2
Round 2: 2 HDC in each stitch around, join in light brown yarn, chain 2 (18 HDC)
Round 3: 2 HDC in each stitch around, join in dark brown yarn, chain 2 (36 HDC)
Round 4: 3 DC + chain 2 in first stitch, slip stitch to join to same stitch, skip 2 stitches, slip stitch in next + chain 2 + 3 DC + chain 2 and slip stitch to same stitch, skip 2 stitches, repeat two more times to make a total of 4 toe pads, join in light brown yarn at end of last toe pad.
SC in next 26 stitches which brings you around to the first toe pad.
2 HDC around each toe pad (2 HDC around chain 2 space, 2 HDC in the tops of each DC stitch + 2 HDC in last chain 2 space) make a SC in between each toe pad.
Join to first SC.
Fasten off leaving long tail.
