Materials:
– Bernat Super Value Yarn in Oatmeal, Berry, Lush, and Bright Yellow. Shop all colors at Yarnspirations.com.
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
– Keychain/Keyring I purchase mine HERE.
Sombrero:
starting with oatmeal
Magic ring, chain 1 and make 8 SC in ring, join to first SC, chain 1
Round 2: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (8 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
change to yellow
Round 4: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
change to red
Round 5: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
change to green
Round 6: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
change back to oatmeal
Round 7: 2 SC in first, SC in next 5, repeat around, join, chain 1 (14 SC)
Round 8: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (14 SC)
Round 9: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (28 SC)
Round 10: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (28 SC)
change to yellow
Round 11: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (28 SC)
change to green
Round 12: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (28 SC)
Fasten off… but wait! No need to weave in ends!
Use the long ends in the center as stuffing!
But first stitch on the keyring using one of the long ends.
Make a small crochet circle with the oatmeal yarn
Magic ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join to first SC
Round 2: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, fasten off (15 SC)
Stitch circle onto bottom of sombrero
